Scope of tasks of the Coordinator for disabled students:
- informing disabled people among candidates for studies
on education opportunities at the Faculty of Food Technology and assistance during the recruitment process; - organization and coordination of activities aimed at making it easier for disabled students to use the offer of the Faculty of Food Technology, incl. advice
in matters related to the course of studies, acquiring equipment for disabled people from internal or external funds - informing disabled students about planned assistance
in acquiring professional knowledge and competences, opportunities for participation
in apprenticeships, research internships; - monitoring the needs of disabled students (e.g. questionnaires);
- representing the interests of disabled students before the University authorities and mediating in their contacts with administrative and teaching staff as well as with the Faculty Authorities;
- assistance in solving the current problems of individual students with disabilities;
- activation of disabled students in the life of the academic community
(including cultural events, science clubs); - participation in workshops and seminars devoted to disability issues.
Equipping the Faculty of Food Technology with equipment dedicated to disabled students:
- a computer workstation in room 1010 and two computer workstations in room 1067 adapted to the needs of the visually impaired and hearing impaired (with special software installed – the rehabilitation Ivona voices package and the ZoomText Magnifier and Reader software; it is also possible to optionally connect a monitor to the set in room 1010 Optelec TwinView and the enlarged Astra keyboard included in the room);
- at the Dean’s Office of WTŻ there are two hearing aid kits, which include induction loops, receivers for the student and transmitters for the teacher (FM Domino Classic System) and two Olympus LS P4 recorders with a voice guide – equipment to be rented for the duration of classes / lectures;
- At the Faculty, it is also possible to use the Snow 10 PRO portable electronic magnifier with an optical character recognition (OCR) system, which is currently located in the Dean’s Office of the Faculty of Economic Sciences.
POWER project – foreign mobility of disabled and disadvantaged students.
As part of the POWER project financed by the European Social Fund, it is possible to financially support the foreign mobility of students with disabilities and in a difficult financial situation. The project is directly related to the Erasmus + program.
This means that if a student received a social scholarship at SGGW in the year preceding participation in the Erasmus + program, he may receive support from the program
POWER during the implementation of mobility.The POWER mobility grant is higher compared to the Erasmus grant. While paying the POWER scholarship, the student is still entitled to the benefit awarded at SGGW.

Scholarship applications should be submitted to the dean’s office, to the employees responsible for the relevant field of study.Dean’s office staff provide information on the application submission schedule. This information is also posted in front of the dean’s office. When submitting applications, the dean’s office staff initially verify their completeness.
